How does TabTabTab work?
Your child looks at a question and says the answer out loud. The app listens — not just for whether the answer is right, but for how long it takes. From that it works out which multiplication facts are already automatic and which aren’t, and builds the practice to fit. Three minutes a day, around twenty questions.
Why voice instead of typing?
Times tables are a memory made of words: they’re stored and recalled in the language regions of the brain. Saying them out loud is the most direct way to practice them. A keypad only adds a step — finding the digit, tapping it — that has nothing to do with knowing the fact.
How long does it take to learn the times tables?
It depends on the starting point, but with three minutes a day most children make real progress in two to three weeks. The app doesn’t waste time on what your child already knows — it focuses on the facts that are still shaky.
Does TabTabTab record or store my child's voice?
No. Speech recognition runs entirely on the device using Apple’s framework. No audio is sent to any server, nothing is stored or shared, and the app works offline.
Is TabTabTab free? Is there a subscription?
The first 10 sessions are free and no account is needed. After that there’s a single in-app purchase of $2.99 that unlocks everything: no subscription, no other purchases. One purchase covers every profile in the family.
What age is it for?
It’s designed for children around 7–9, when school moves from working answers out to recalling them from memory. Understanding what multiplication means comes first, in class; TabTabTab comes after, to make recall automatic.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. After installation the app works fully offline: speech recognition runs on the device, with no server.
